The new GT mean particularly federate several research groups currently working on various forms of economic elites, administrative policies outside of AFS and a scattered manner.
We would be more precisely this new thematic network a place for discussion about methods of inquiry prosopographical (pooling of existing databases, construction of common questionnaires allow comparisons between different forms of elite ...) and more broadly of Survey Methods "dominant".
This new RT will also be an opportunity for us to identify more systematically and to engage them in the work space for scientific discussions sometimes separated (sociology of the state, economic sociology, sociology of "entresois" residential , Sociology of the bourgeoisie, anthropology of patrimonial transmission ...) and query a division of scientific work that leads us sometimes to cut the social reality in many distinct areas that we are not always able to relocate their consistency in the actual forms of organization of social groups and actors that we study (more or less integrated, more or less "multi-positioned"). This could by RT shortly become as the place from which to launch projects or conference publications on this topic.
