Inaugurated in 2004, Taipei 101 was until 2007 the tallest building in the world: 508m, 101 floors (hence its name).
As the buildings in Taipei are much lower, we see almost everywhere.
Unfortunately the tower is not open to visitors. It can climb to the top, but I think we should book. We will do another day. The view must be magnificent!
If we had been addicted to shopping, we could console himself with the adjoining shopping center. For those who know Bangkok, think about Paragon or Emporium. It includes of course all the big international names.
A few steps away from Taipei 101 is the town hall.
